Days are Looking Up

Today, woke up at 11am. It was raining! :D

"Climate

Rain falls for about twelve seconds every night for two weeks each year, during the Monsoon season, which includes heart stoppingly beautiful lightening storms, that Arizona Power Service has engineered into cost cutting that includes wide spread outages. The .3 inches of rainfall evaporates within 5 minutes, lowering the temperature to 120° while increasing the relative humidity to 99.999% for approximately 42 minutes. As such, the average Arid-zonan is spared from details of the complex and delicate interrelationship between water and rivers. One river actually winds its way past the northern border of Arizona, however in a landslide water rights legislation local government managed to sell the water to California."

A very rare occurrence indeed. :] Except it's been raining ALL day. It's raining right now too! =]

I missed being in a humidity environment. I miss a change in the weather where it's not just sunny or just slightly cloudy.

Today, I wasn't on the computer very much, rather, I was hanging around the house, watching the rain come down on our pool as I sat outside in a chair, I played Xbox Live with my good friend S.I. Charles, and just playing a guitar while singing what ever came to mind.

So I made plans with my fellow MDM friend, S.I. Mackenzie to go with her tomorrow to Challenge, and go on Friday as well. S.I. Charles is gonna be there on Both days too, but not very long. Friday is going to be best of all! S.I. Sykes S. is going on Friday as well, and we are going to spend ALL DAY there! I'm stoked! I can't wait!

Playing with Charles on Xbox live was awesome. I haven't seen that kid since the 5th, and same with Sykes S. With Charles we were exchanging some old things we might have forgotten from Challenge, specifically quotes and stories. Maybe someday I'll make a blog on Challenge quotes/stories.

I haven't told anyone this but we've a pool in our backyard. I sat our there watching rain drops ripple through the water for a bit. Ah...the rain.

My guitar skills suck but I'm improving. I started playing with the guitar while trying best to sing along with what ever notes I was hitting. I was trying to come up with some sort of rhythm and I kinda got it. Although the singing, probably horrible, but I was trying to come up with lyrics at the top of my head. Entertaining really.

Time for me to hit the hay.

'night.

Confused on Jan 18, Monday

Yesterday, I was talking to a friend of mine on MSN. He said he woke up at around 5 pm his time and that made me think that he went to school and he took and nap and recently woken up.

He said is was MLK Day. I was confused for a good ten minutes. I thought he mean "M[i]LK Day" and forgot the 'i'. I was dead wrong.

He told me there was no school, and I misunderstood what MLK was. So I asked him what MiLK Day was and since when this started. He said it started at midnight, and it's been around for quite a number of years known as "Martin Luther King Jr. Day." :[

I felt stupid. But now I dub that day MiLK Day because Cows are a perfect example of how black and white are just colors and both make up a cow.

The chocolate Cow is a different story. The fucker is hard to catch. >.>

Well, it's late already but, Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day! =]

And yes, I did eat my cereal with milk that morning. :)

Edit:
Son of a gun...I just logged onto Chatshack and a member there called it MiLK Day too. :/ I'm disappointed, I guess it's already been though of.

Festina Lente

I'm making good progress, I've been doing well for the past couple of days. Other kick-started me in gear and now I'm going to try to keep in in gear by progressing in my own life.

Today, I was awake until I went to bed bed late at night (or I should say, morning) somewhere between 4-5am. Okay, not so good but I'm going to bed just a bit earlier. Hopefully after this is done and over with. I woke up later that day, at about 1 pm.

I woke up and football was on with the Cowboys and Vikings engaging in their scheduled football game. With the Vikings taking the lead at 17 while the poor Cowboys had only 3 points up on the scoreboard in the middle of the 3rd quarter. And the Vikings dominated. I stopped watching the game at the remaining 8 minutes of the 4th quarter since I know who was going to win. So I find out the score ended up being somewhere in the 30's for the Vikings and I think the Cowboys' score was in the single digits.

Vikings turned their luck around this season when Brett Favre became the quarterback for the team. :D Favre is so awesome. He was the reason why I became a big fan of the Packers. I guess now I'm liking the Vikings now. I hope they make it to the Superbowl and kick some major ass and win that game. Favre is equal to Norris in my opinion. :]

I ate some oatmeal while watching the game, and after I quit watching and finished my meal, I took my medicine and got on the computer for a bit. After a while of doing nothing, my family and I go to the mall. It was pretty cool, it's the first mall I have ever been to that is two stories high.

I had to babysit my little sister for about 30 minutes as we were trying to reach the Build-A-Bear Workshop for my sister. I found a neat Coyote and Grey Wolf stuffed animals there but I don't find it worth buying them. My mom and Juan caught up with Tori and I and they allowed me to go and look through the mall to see check the place out.

I go to several stores, Zumiez, Spencer's Gifts, uhh...I forgot the other three clothing stores I went to. Out of all of them, I think the best one was Spencer's Gifts because I barely found anything interesting in the other stores. I swear, I hate all those shirts that are "popular" nowadays.

In the Zumiez store, I looked through about 300 shirts, and out of all those, I only liked about 3, and about ten were decent. I pretty much hate all the clutterness, the gayness, and the designs of shirts today. I like plain and simple shirts with simple designs, in the front and/or back, or those with meaningful sayings and words. The other stores were about the same as Zumiez, with one being way better than Zumies.

Now, Spencer's Gifts was the best store that I went to (didn't get the time to check out the others). I found two Sublime shirts there, one having Lou Dog in it and the other with Sublime's logo, a Pink Floyd shirt with all their albums in the front, a really cool Pantera shirt (that I wanted to get), and a few other shirts that were interesting. They also had some pretty cool things there too.

Then the cellphone rang and I had to go and meet Juan, my mom, and my sister at Dillards. I beat them there and waited. I got a call from them to go straight to the car outside instead. I had forgotten what entrance of Dillard's lead to the car and I chose the wrong entrance so I was outside walking around the mall to reach my mom's vehicle. I STILL BEAT THEM.
They were SLOWWWW.

On our way home we get some food at a Chinese restaurant and we bring it home and chow down. Pork fried rice rules. :]

I watched Juan play some Call of Duty on the Xbox, and them I headed off to the computer again. I educated myself off the internet while talking to a few people. I was playing that Evony game too. I also got a haircut from Juan. His best attempt at giving me a fade is decent, but my mom and him won't let me cut the hair at the top of my head any shorter because of the stitches and wound. =/

I've been doing good lately and I hope for many more good days. =]

I just put my sister to bed not too long ago and now it's my turn.

Good night. :]

Guy Forsythe - "Long Long Time"

It's been a long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, time.
When I was a kid, I used to draw airplanes, with stars and bars shooting down airplanes, adorned with hammers and sickles.

I bought a hundred water guns so I could save the world, saving my lunch money and stealing my father's quarters, dimes, and nickels.

I discovered religion watching Luke Skywalker rescue Princess Leia and destroying the Death Star by letting go and closing his eyes.

And I devoured comic books, Greek colored mythology books taught me right and wrong, and if you believe, you can fly.

I remember listening to songs about trains and feeling the rush of wonder at the possibility that the world was infinite and accessible all at the same time. And then it was songs about highways and born to be wild and little red corvette and the road went on forever in my mind.

But now it's clogged bumper to bumper with stinking SUVs and two-story pickup trucks that can drive over anything except the two-story pickup truck right in front of it.

Not even the highways look the same, Starbucks and 711s and Walmarts jam the feeder roads. We don't live around this mess, we live under it.

Now all the songs are about gangsters and guns and the TV speeds by at 100 deaths an hour and everyone wants to pull off the crime of the century.

Steal two hundred gazillion dollars, enough to buy myself an island and build a real honest-to-God train on it for noone but me.

And get away with it. Get away with it. We Americans are freedom-loving people and nothing says freedom like getting away with it.

We went from Billy the Kid to Richard Nixon, Enron, Exxon, O.J. Simpson...

We used to dream about heroes, but now it's just how to beat the system.

So where to we go to dream now? Up on the roof of the projects, straining through the city lights to see if they've built golden arches on the moon yet?

Self-medicated, pacifated, trying our best to stay distracted, living life according to the TV set.

Corporations owning nations, telling us "don't change the station, it's the only safe way to win the human race."

I wonder how the world sees us.

Rich beyond compare, powerful without equal, a spoiled, drunk, 15-year-old waving a gun in their face.

It's been a long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long time.

Since I felt fine.

My Head

So, I'm in pain. My head hurts, but it's bearable. I had surgery sometime between 11am-12:30am because I was getting a bothersome cyst removed.

I don't know how long I was in the waiting room with my mom but I was there for maybe two hours (because my anesthesiologist was very busy with the patient before me).

I got to see the whole movie of Mulan (I was in a Children's Hospital). I recognized Mulan's voice and it sounds like the voice for Kim Possible. And after the movie I played with a Rubix Cube. I managed to finish a couple sides but I was still having trouble. I probably only have 2 total hours playing with Rubix Cubes in my whole life so I'm no pro.

All I remember is me walking to the operating room and lying down on the operating table and they hooked me up with health monitoring systems and an IV, and they strapped me down to the table in case I freaked out and I wanted off the table and cause a commotion. The anesthesiologist told me when he was going to put the anesthetics in my system through the needle in my hand and told me that my hand was going to feel funny. And funny it did, it feels a bit worse than when your arm is asleep and you want to wake it. And then, I said to myself that I wanted to stay awake but then I just fell asleep with out knowing it.

And then I woke up. FUCK. I was sleeping comfortably and then I woke up. I don't remember anything. I realized my head hurts and I reached to touch it lightly and nothing but stitches there. I WAS TIRED, and I still am.

Oh yes, I remember how I got to the car. In a wheelchair and Nurse Judith was pushing me to my car. I don't remember if I fell asleep in the car but when I got home I just walking inside to go lie down on my mom's bed and she brought me a blanket and I fell asleep comfortably. I slightly remember hearing my mom reading some letters that my brother sent us.

I woke up, sat up and I was thirsty. I had some water. Mom had made me some warm Campbell's chicken noodle soup. ("shi-kin" lmao. I miss TL Alverado saying that) I can't move my scalp becaus it hurts, I can't even make wrinkles on my forehead without it hurting. It pretty much sucks but that's the price until it heals up. I better take care of it because I don't want some gaping hole on my head forever.

And now I'm here, writing this for no one to read it until they come across it.

The first song I listened to was "My Drug Buddy" by the Lemonheads. It's nice, melodic and mellow all at the same time. They lyrics are beautifully sung and the lyrics are great. :]

Hopefully today is going to be just as good. Oh and I should note, there was only one kid int he waiting room for the Children's hospital so it was relatively quiet. :]
